Mello No one invited me... Darn.

Looks like some nice ideas... and I like the price. Add this to my Skype and I am set for the road.

Toodles

Is it like a central clearing house-style national phone number that you can use anywhere?

among the cool things, i think, voicemail automatically translated to text, dynamic call forwarding (for example i can have the number ring my cell if db calls and ring my office if jeff calls) block callers as "spam", call screening - lots of cool stuff - PLUS some things i don't want to divulge publicly ... yet.

They are pushing this thing to see how far they can go before it breaks since this is all new technology. It's very interesting but how trustworthy can it be? They can't guarantee that the translation to text will be right because they still haven't done proper testing.

(I spend way too much time listening to VUI designers...)

As someone who's paying for eleven phone numbers*, simplification sounds good, but then that means advising everyone of one more phone number.

I actually only talk business to people on two lines, office and cell, and I've found it pretty easy to forward the office line to the cell on the rare occasions when I'm out, but I can see the appeal for a more outwardly mobile person.

*I've got 5 cell phones for me and family, 2 ISDN lines, 3 land lines for home, office and fax, and an 800 number that feeds into the office line. What technology! What a bill! Thank goodness long distance is almost free these days.

When and if they allow us to pass out invites, I'll throw an offer up here... I LOVE this service and have for almost 3 years.
