88 F
Partly cloudy (though it looks pretty darn sunny to me!)
Humidty: 63%
Heat Index: 97 F (and it does feel like it!!)
Not really a lick of breeze out there.
20% chance of rain.
I'm 2 - 2.5 hours south of Tampa, where Kara lives. Unlike Kara's earlier report in another thread of daily rainstorms, we've had rain only one day (Monday) in about the past 10-14 days. We're 12" below where we normally are in precipitation. It's been an unusually dry summer.
I'm hoping this all means NO HURRICANES!!! Tom Ackerman? Storm Suchan? True?? _________________ Caryn Clark... The Hip Chick Voice!

If you're talking about no hurricanes in Ft. Myers your odds are very good! No hurricanes period is a little less likely.
The season doesn't peak till Aug-Sept so we're really just getting into it. |

Phoenix, AZ 9:58am
Cooling trend underway!
96.0º
Mostly Cloudy
Humidity 31%
Dew Point 62º
Expected high only 108º the next couple of days.
For those following, we did have our big "gully washer" two nights ago: .36 inch of rain. It cleaned the windshields and broke our string of 114º days with a balmy 103º yesterday. _________________ VO-BB Member #31 Enlisted June, 2005

Caryn- how crazy that you guys have had no rain, and we've had so much! Actually- it hasn't rained for a couple of days now so maybe our luck ran out. When the weather man gets home, I'll ask him for some current stats (yeah, I could go to a website and look- but it makes my husband very happy when I ask him ) _________________ Threadjackers local 420

The Forney Figures at 7:41pm (courtesy Weather.com):
83 degrees
Wind: From N at 7 mph
Humidity: 41%
Pressure: 29.97 in.
Dew Point: 58°F
Visibility: 10.0 miles
On a semi-side-note, I just had an estimate done for removing the dents that our little '96 Geo Prizm (my work car) sustained in the freaky hail storm that buzzed downtown Dallas back on the 8th. The dent repair cost is more than the car appears worth according to Blue book figures. Hmmm... _________________ Justin S. Barrett

We call this the "monsoon" season in Vegas....hovering around 110F, and the humidity is WAAAAY up in the teens.....
Heck, we even got 2/100ths of an inch of rain Tuesday!
At that rate, if we're lucky, we'll reach our yearly average of 4-inches in no time!
