In the Bustling Metropolis of Burra, South Australia:
Currently 11C, top today of 15C
72% humidity
Cloudy, windy and (thankfully) wettish
Tomorrow: more of the same.
'Tis good weather for staying inside by the fire and sipping red wine and/or slurping Miners XXX stout, and for supping on a lamb shank stew so thick that it sticks to everything, including your ribs!

11am and it's already 104º, and the Weather Service is ready to proclaim this our hottest month in history (if the forecast temps hold true and they usually do) with an average daily high of...........ready for it?......... 109.4º. We've had much less cloudiness and rain than we normally get in July with only a third of an inch of rain while we normally get a whopping two inches or so with the summer storms.
I was thrilled to see that El Niño is coming back so we should have a "wet" winter/early spring in a few months.
Perspiringly yours,

when I saw the topic slug, I thought you were going to make reference to the date: 07-08-09
of course at 4:56 am or pm it was 4.56 7-8-9
On the weather -- in the New York area we failed to break 90 degrees anytime in June or July for only the 3rd time in 140 years of record keeping. _________________ http://MichaelSchoen.com |
