Donations to help me fund the purchase of a new fully automated manual Ricoh Nikon Pentax in order to perfect my craft are appreciated.

Technical Photographist information - Selected object.
Awaited the objects heading to bisect camera forward pointy angle. Press buttony thing. Continued with dog walk (non-essential cameraist item).

Aircraft information - Largeish and gray with two engines both ***ing loud. Two crew who I assume are deaf as they sit almost on top of the two ****ing loud engines. Possibly have burnt bottoms too.

Lovely photo but you know you've got some competition with DB and Kara.
I'll bet Jazz's ears hurt more than yours.

Chrissy,

Are you talking about the headshot or the photo of the plane?

When I first saw that shot, I thought maybe you had advanced very rapidly in your piloting lessons. Smile Then I read the subject again.

Philip,

This is what you get for parking your plane at the local RAF base. Ninja

Sweet! When I was at Uni a friend was a pilot at RAF Leuchars and let me hang out at the base and sit in of one of those nasty dark jet thingys (parked, of course). The controls and dials made some sense once explained by an expert.

He had a nice job...occasional recon missions to Iceland to say howdy to Ivan and then back to Fife for tea. The rest of the time spent languishing at the base ordering pizza and watching dodgy videos. Very VO.

I want a mic that looks like that plane. It might improve my delivery.

95% of the people who try to make a career in photography fail. There are plenty of P2P (Pay to photograph) sites, but no serious photographist uses them as sources of marketing.

You need to ask yourself, what kind of photographist you're going to be. Why should anyone hire you over another photographist? Do you bring anything new to the table or are your pictures just like everyone else's?

I'll have you know that my Chinese camera is as good as any German camera and I have a great eye. I know the P2P sites won't get me work but I am using them for practise. Just as well as my first 35 audition shots had me pointing the photo-takey bit (the "lons" as we photographists call it) aiming at my face.

I'm not looking to make big bucks, just a few hundred thousand a year.

You're a motorcycle?

Oh— there's a man in that picture. He's so slender, I nearly missed seeing him.

It looks like a guy from Gentleman's Quarterly. Is that you?

I have nothing useful or funny to add... just want to say that this thread is funny as hell.
