Hi, Everyone! Yes, it's me, back from the dead!

I was getting this electronic sounding hum in my recordings and it was really bugging me. I messed around on Google and found that there's a gadget that you plug into the wall and then plug the computer you record on into and it's supposed to help. It was $50 so I thought I'd give it a try. Son of a gun, it worked.

You probably can tell I'm not up on my audio technology as much as I am on my computer technology, but I was so tickled that it was such a simple fix.

And, you're not gonna tell us what it is?

Such a tease.

Back in late '78 when I was Hobo Laughing to the an old AM'er 1145 W-ATCH we used to have a truck arrive every other Thursday to take away our mains hum. If Larry the driver ever missed a week the news people who worked next to the storage facility used to start glowing in the dark and shorting the Coke machine. One evening the Head of News was having an intimate experience with the girl who worked on reception and they blew every light bulb for 20 miles.

I'm guessing it was a ground lift. Very useful.

I had to look it up (once you hit 45 things tend to fall out of the hole in the back of my head). It's a Ebtech Hum X Voltage Hum Filter.
