My thanks to Bobbin Beam for posting some of her photos from today's activities all ready in a reply to my previous thread. Here are a couple of shots from my camera today.

It was a truly wonderful day filled with opportunities to visit with friends, to make new friends and to learn. It's so much fun to have finally met Scott and Doug in person and to see Bobbin, Melissa, Pam, Ben and Rowell again along with lots of other friends like Janet and Natalie who mostly lurk.

One of the highlights of the day was getting to work with Christine Coyle, creative director of The Famous Radio Ranch.

Dan O'Day and Christine Coyle talking just before her presentation to the group.

And at the end of the day we were able to gather just about everyone for a VO-BB group photo.

In the back row from left to right are Ben Wilson, Bob Souer, Scott Nilsen, Eric Souer and Doug Turkel. In the front row are Rowell Gormon, Pam Tierney, Janet Ault, Melissa Exelberth, Bobbin Beam and Natalie Stanfield Thomas

I'll have more to post and report tomorrow. Now, I need to get some sleep!

Hooray for this picture! It's so cool to see folks from the board in the same airspace.

Hi Bob. Thank you for posting your very nice group shot. Hopefully we'll grab a few more today.

Pat Fraley was supposed to present yesterday but had to cancel. Christine Coyle was a formidable substitute and was so on point as she directed a number of us in various radio spots. I loved her insights on text analysis, and told us not to over-do it, and that acting is 90% reacting.

At around 3pm I was dropped at Strathlene with Jazz and Jack and we walked around the coastal path to Findochty. At journey's end I put the two dogs in the car and went into The Admiral pub for 1 pint of Bellhaven Best Bitter and then we returned home.

Doesn't sound like much does it? Believe me when I tell you it was an hour of prefection resulting from simplicity.

Pat did not cancel, and there was no schedule conflict.

When he checked his diary he told Dan Dare that he was unavailable as he would be watching TV at the suggested time.

In "Days of our Weeks" Brie had just confessed to Sunnee that she loved Uist the new Swedish CEO and so she would have to murder Flask or at the very least not validate his parking. Be honest, would you miss that?

Returning to our regularly scheduled broadcast, here are some photos from the Saturday portion of the Summit. And I'll say again this was a truly wonderful weekend ... my favorite Summit of the last several years for sure.

Dave Foxx of Z100 started things this morning with a superb session on radio imaging.

Here are 3 of my favorite faces from the weekend.

Pam Tierney, Janet Ault and Bobbin Beam. We also got a shot of Janet (a friend of Bruce Miles and co-resident of the Phoenix area) with Doug Turkel and Nancy Wolfson.

Nancy had photos taken with many of us including Bobbin and Rowell.

Mo Holland was back at the Summit after surviving cancer.

Nancy also directed my son Eric through a script.

And me, too!

We didn't get any more big group shots, but I think there may be a few more photos from Pam that will be coming. Again a great weekend. I'm so glad to have been able to meet Doug and Scott in person.

Great time is being had by all. I'll post my pics when I get home to my usb camera cord.

Off to a Dodger game with Bob and Eric after breakfast with a former Summit presenter Kristine Oller.

Survived the long drive home (all of 40 miles) and settling back in. Lots to think about.

What I'm trying NOT to think about (and failing miserably at) is the convention being held next door to ours, where they were judging Mr. and Mrs. Leather a leather fetish group. BDSM crowd. Every time you walked out into the hallway at the end of a session, you just didn't know what you would see.

Thanks for posting the pics, Bob and Bobbin!

Hey, Scott, share the love.

Here's what Pat Fraley says about his absence:

"I was fired from my presentation over a separate copywrite infringement issue between Dan and me on a product Dan is selling. His decision, not mine."
