HOLY COW Anthony! That is the most bizarre thing I've seen. How can it be different? Mine clearly says 49.95

Remind me never to ask you to go online and buy anything for me! Man, you are getting ripped off! hahahahahaha "Hey it's Anthony...jack that price up by 50 bucks!" Laugh

I had to close my browser and clear ALL cookies and now it's finally giving me the $49.95 price. HAHA! Got 'em! Now what do I do with the extra $50 you guys saved me?

Any suggestions? Pick a charity I guess.

Hmmmm. Buy lotto tickets and we'll split the winnings between us and the next 8 people to reply to this thread.

Weird! It says $99.95 for me...

Knowing Intuit, I'm really not surprised, though.

Well, I'd be another Intuit victim of price gouging if I were to purchase right now... I did all of the same things as Anthony described and it's still showing in all areas for me as $99.95 (and it isn't the Canadian site or Canadian $$)

I like this new concept that Intuit has implemented... roll the dice and if the serial number of your pc matches one of our randomly selected number, you get to save $50.

Like Anthony said WTF!!! Good thing I bought my version at the store quite some time ago!

i've heard of stuff like this.
Not only do you have to remove ALL your cookies, but you have to close your browser completely - not just a new window or tab (if Mozilla or Firefox) - the ENTIRE browser program.

If that doesn't work, then this is quite shady, because although I bought it at $50 yesterday, this morning it says $99
If you want the $50 price, call them and insist on it - i'm sure they'll honor it.

Ninja

EDIT: Or turn off your modem (cable or DSL) for a couple minutes and then reconnect - hopefully you'll be assigned a new IP and maybe that would work - just guessing here.

Jeezz-- I wonder how much it is for a Mac, then!
I took a look and they want $199.95.

I think it is means tested. Intuit knows which of us are poor, struggling, lesser talents and which of us are the busy, highly talented and affluent - - and they price accordingly.

In other words, what you may think of as a rip off, is really quite a compliment!

I am not sure if anyone is still looking for this but I found a package on eBay that includes the Quickbooks Easy Start 2006 plus some other stuff for very cheap.
