I had a friend coming over to do a remote broadcast from my studio to New York Public Radio yesterday morning. I got the studio stuff all powered up, but lo and behold, my ISDN is showing "inact".

We had to scratch the session, hustle my friend back home to do the interview over the phone. This is all at 6:15 am.
I called telco repair for wild circuits like ISDNs at 6:30 and generated a trouble ticket.

I just got a call about 1/2 an hour ago from the testing zone, letting me know the central office would be trying a test this afternoon.

30 hours for a response for an ISDN line?

I've already lost more work as a result of its being down, and I am more than leaked off.

I love the guys in the CO and in the field. But ever since Fairpoint took over the phone system around here it has been THE SUCK with billing and issue like this.
It took them a year and a half ( I kid you not. March of '08 is when we initiated the change and I just got the confirmations in the last week.) to straighten out the billing for my lines, to get them off Metro Traffic's bill, and "superseded" to me.

What.
the.
Heck.

Not to be confused with Farpoint in STNG. But probably just as helpful.
