I was on a corporate film shoot yesterday and the sound guy was using a Schoeps CMIT 5U microphone. It is apparently a fairly new product and he was raving about it. I was wondering if anyone on here has used one or knows anything about it or how it compares to a Sennheiser 416? Any insight or info is much appreciated. Dave _________________ David White

Dave,
I've not used that model, but I have voiced work on a Schoeps shotgun that sounded really wonderful. _________________ Be well,

We use Schoeps MK 22 with MK4 and MK 21 capsules on all EFP (Electronic Field Production) shoots. We have three crews with several shotguns, only one 416 is allowed... O.K., I only have three for the field kits.
Along with the wireless microphones and lavaliere's; the Schopes are the most seamless in quality for our videos and film work.
I have not used the latest and greatest, but if it compares to the usual Schoeps fare, it will be a great microphone.
Toodles
