Henceforth I shall be a hit and the must have attendee at all cocktail parties! Thanks to one client I now have the party trick of party tricks.
Watch in amazement as Philip Banks demonstrates his ability to accurately score fellow guests bowel movements from 1 to 7 ..... |

I learned that a very gifted director got me so pissed off that I finally gave her the read she was after. When the session ended she asked, "Are you still pissed off with me?"
"No, at myself for not giving it to you the first time."
"Wrong answer. I needed a dark, angry read and you were in too much of a good mood. I have a lot more work for you. And when I need you dark and angry I'll piss you off. You game?"
"You can piss me off all you like." _________________ www.voiceoverdrew.com

Although I have a full head of hair, I'm quite ribald. |

This week I learned that a very young man (age 24) can be a real pro even when he has bad news. I also learned, again, that it's always a good idea to resist the temptation to burn a bridge. _________________ Be well,

I have learned that "the show must go on" and that I CAN deliver.
Even if I FEEL like staying in bed for 2 days, I can SOUND exceedingly healthy....5 pages at a time.
...oh.... and that it's fun auditioning for the role of a 15 year old autistic girl in an Asian Karate movie that's to be dubbed in French! _________________ Liz de Nesnera O.A.V. ~ Livin' The VO Dream!

I learned I should probably have Philip over to the next kindergarten ice cream social because poop is very important to that set.
Also, there's doing it and there's faking it. Do it already. It works out so much better. _________________ 006 member of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Mic. Bonded by sound.

I've read this thread a couple of times now as new posts pop up, but I am still not sure what Philip was talking about.
As far as what I've learned from client's this week - patience. The sessions will eventually be scheduled...maybe. _________________ Playing for a living...

Don't worry Connie, Philip is sometimes so esoteric I wander about in confusion land for the entire thread. But then the cloud lifts when some kind soul draws pictures for me and I can once again understand. Welcome to my world! _________________ Pam Tierney

During a session I had to explain The Bristol Stool Scale - DO NOT GOOGLE IT...There are things you would rather not know and there are things you certainly would rather not see. |
