I'll be doing an "Audio Short" presentation Tuesday— on making exertion sounds for video games.
The idea is to show audio and dialog directors our process. Once YOU know how sounds are made it's a lot easier to help someone else make those sounds— and sometimes the VA needs a bit of help with the punch and hit sounds after a 4-hour VO session.

Me too. While I'm close enough to drive, there's no way I could get the time off for the trip. One day, though...

THAT sound like it's going to be very informative, and FUN!
I still remember your "scream without wrecking your voice" from VOICE 2007!

abdominal thrust. They changed it in 07 because the son of H had issues. CPR guidelines change almost yearly anyway but this was a big one. Not that many of us have stopped using the term!

You'd think the Heimlich family would be proud - give all the lives it has saved.

A Heimlich is not a Heimlich? That's sort of like the Kleenex family not allowing anyone to honor the late Harvey Kleenex for his contributions to the facial tissue.

Or the family of Jebediah Xerox not giving their patriarch his due....

And what would we call it if Frank and Felicia Fax hadn't lent their name to their handy little invention?
