Hi folks,

The stars have aligned, and mine and my site designer's schedules have cooperated, and my revised website is about to go live. I'll probably upload all the elements tomorrow, but before that last step, I figured I'd get some objective eyes and ears involved.

I've already beaten my guy up over lots of little things (I tend to be a bit anal retentive), but I'd appreciate it if you'd be willing to take a look around and see if anything jumps out at you as being messed up or...well...just plain bad. I'll apologize in advance for the picture of a mic, but it seemed to work there. The site includes new demos, too, so feel free to pick them apart if you're so inclined. I can correct them on my own, whenever.

Thanks in advance for any comments, pro or con. Here's the revised site on my designer's server.

Don, I like the clean look and easy navigation. I also love your tag line! And that little client window that floats down? Makes me smile. Is that something you can easily add to when you need to, though? I've found that in the past year alone I've had to do a lot of updating to my client list.

Good luck with your launch!!

My only concern is someone not running at 1024x768. The stuff on the right is going to be cut off.

Thanks for the comments, folks. Yeah, the client list is not something I'll be able to add to myself. But it will be easy enough to send my guy new logos and he can take care of it.

As for the screen size/resolution, I understand what you're saying Jeff, but I'm not too concerned about it. Based on the info here, I think the odds are in my favor.

Hobo is a site for web designers, so the chance of them being in higher resolutions is almost guaranteed.

But from their own site: "Consider - design for 1024x768 setting and ensure it contracts properly, or 'transforms gracefully', to the 800x600 setting."

Yours does not transform gracefully. it cuts off abruptly.

Anyway, my 2 cents.

UPDATE: I just checked mine and it also doesn't support 800x600. go figure.

very clean, very professional...and it SOUNDS good too!

what's the origin of the little flash players you have there? the ones i have are fine, but i like how yours show up as a full bar, not just the start indicator.

I'm pretty sure the player is one from this site that I pointed my designer to.

I think I like those players better than the wordpress flash players. They're prettier. Can I ask why you chose to use multiple players instead of the single player that plays multiple files?

Don... very nice site. I have no problem seeing side to side. The only cut off on my end is at the copyright line.

We went back and forth with the single player vs a multiple player. I had a few problems with the multiple playlist players. First, I didn't care for the fact that they play the files sequentially and automatically. If I could have found one (a free one) that stopped after each file played, I'd have been tempted. The second reason is that all of the ones I saw were rather difficult to read - at least for my eyes. Finally, since I have only three files to play, I thought it might have been too small or too sparse looking.

The only downside I've seen to these single players is that one could feasibly have all three playing at once. Hopefully, the listener will know enough to pause or stop one before starting the next, if they even choose to listen to more than one.
