Somehow, Mackie was able to get their Firewire based Onyx consoles qualified to run Pro Tools 8 M-Powered. No, doesn't work with PT LE, you have to buy M-Powered for nearly $300.
But, nonetheless, a slick little board the 820i is, has all the features you need for a VO studio, plus a new crucial feature for some: The ability to route the Firewire playback to a channel for playback to a phone patch, for example.
Finally a console with built-in audio interface you can actually use!
I am sure these will be in VO studios soon... _________________ If it sounds good, it is good.

George,
I saw those new consoles in an ad yesterday from BSW. They look really good. Do you know if it will work with M-Powered 7.x? _________________ Be well,

Wish I knew, too soon to tell. I'd check the Digi forums for answers to that one. _________________ If it sounds good, it is good.

It is not listed, because not fully tested, we have seen functionality with PTMP 7.4 and later.

We are glad to have manufacturers represented on the forum when answering a direct technical question. Nice to have info straight from the horse's mouth! _________________ If it sounds good, it is good.
