Have you considered a pen/tablet? I started to get the beginnings of what felt like carpal tunnel a few years ago during heavy editing sessions. Tried a Wacom pen/tablet on a whirl... and within 24 hours, wrist pain gone!
I got used to using the pen very quickly and once I tweaked the default settings it seemed much more agile and precise. Wouldn't go back now -- regular mouse feels clumsy.
Using AA 1.5 on XP...
Hope this helps! _________________ Blue skies -- Lauren Lee

This is really the most important function that I need in a mouse.
I've been using the Mac Mighty Mouse now for a while and it's ok, not great.
The little scroll button works with the option key, but in ProTools, the zooming is in pretty large increments. Unless they fixed it in ver. 8.0.
I usually end up using control r+d and it works much better for horizontal zoom |

It's new...it's magic.....or so they say.

Looks like a track pad on a mouse. I wonder how well it works for PT and other audio editing programs. _________________ Ben

About time, always thought the touch pad/mouse combo a natural one.
I am tired of the little trackball on my Mighty Mouse getting stuck and only scrolling up or down. What trackball has the most programmable buttons? I got a client the Shuttle Pro V2, but he couldn't understand how to make it work for him. The best would be a trackball with several fully programmable buttons. _________________ If it sounds good, it is good.

Yes, Bob....It looks cool doesn't it? I may need to get one when my mouse finally craps out.
And George, I am sure you know this, but using an alcohol pad works well for a stuck trackball on the Mac Mighty Mouse. I tried a little bit of water and holding it upside down and all the things they suggested. I tried an alcohol pad before I was about to go buy a new mouse and it worked like charm. Now I keep a few in my misc cords drawer for whenever the mouse starts acting up. Works great! _________________ Ben

I was shown a technique that works every time. Get a clean sheet of paper, flip the mightymouse over and rub the mouse's tiny ball vigorously on the paper. Might take 10-20 seconds, but it will work. _________________ If it sounds good, it is good.
