I want to use GarageBand to record. It records and exports at 16 bit, 44.1 kHz. HOw do I obtain .wav files at 16 bit, 22 kHz?

Don't think you can. Try a better aHobo Tounge for VO, such as TwistedWave.com
Otherwise, load audio into Audacity (free) and use that to save to a different sample rate.

Yes, but it's actually "import" to iTunes.

iTunes offers a wide variety of conversion rates in WAV, AIF and MP3. In iTunes on a Mac, drag your file into iTunes, go to Preferences on the pull down menu, and at the bottom of the General screen you'll see Import Options. Click on the options you want and click Save. On the iTunes screen highlight the file you brought in, go up to the Advanced pull down menu, and click on Create WAV Version (or MP3 version...whatever your choice was). In seconds the converted file will end up on you iTunes screen right next to your original file. It's resting place is wherever you've previously instructed iTunes imports to go. Just be sure to return to your normal settings when you're through if you use iTunes regularly.

Sorry...to clarify, when your file is already in iTunes you can import (or create) a new version into iTunes in your newly desired format.

I don't know no nothing about exportin' from Garageband, etc.

Thank-you. The universe's heart rate has dropped back to normal.

For the moment.
