On Sunday I went through the airport equivalent of the 7 steps. The only thing about the airport 7 steps is that unlike their counterpart these could drive you to drink.
Luggage search, person search, X-ray! I'm nearly through. A forty-something security person named Lois handed me my boots. They'd been X-Rayed and then sniffed by a specially trained Spaniel called Brandy who was unaware that these boots had be worn throughout a 4 hour New York City marathon. Brandy didn't die but the coma lasted 36 hours.
"Thank you very much" I say to Lois. She replies in a 6 packs of Marlboro per day, make Ashton Smith sound camp, Joysey Goyl voice.
"Ain't it just great t'heeyah English spowkin loyke deeyat! Awl prawpah!"
"What a lovely to thing say, thank you Lois you've just made my day"
"Are you kiddin me? Hunny, cwawl me tonight jus befaw I git tu sleep an' say theeat again ...Oy!"
I don't know why I'm telling you this because if you were anywhere near New York at 3pm on Sunday you heard it. Lois has the conversational volume of an anti aircraft gun. |

I wondered what that was as I was driving home through Pennsylvania. _________________ Be well,

Philip,
I'm ever so glad you got an opportunity to meet my aunt Lois.
Quick note, she was desiring a career in Voiceoverism, but was unable to find a
mic capable of handling the SPL she was delivering or a mic-pre with a large enough pad to subdue her gain.
So alas, she had to go to work with airport security.
But she is a lovely and charming flower, isn't she?
When next we speak, I'll give your fond regards to Aunt Lois.

We heard that from our perch inside B&H photo, where several guys named Shlomo were trying to sell me a camera. They all looked up and said in unison, "Lois!" _________________ Charter Member: Threadjackers Local 420 |
