I am dying here...lead from V123 just now.
Quote: | This recording will be a phone message for our company. We are a global flower delivery company and we need this recording when customers are waiting during calls to our customer service.
The pronunciation should be of NEUTRAL ACCENT. We have customer service for people around the world hence we CANNOT have an American / British / or any type of accent. NEUTRAL - NEITHER AMERICAN NOR BRITISH - JUST PLAIN ENGLISH |

What they mean is the not British, not American accent they themselves speak with -- whatever the hell that is, _________________ Lee Gordon, O.A.V.

As a Canadian working with an American producer... it aint always pretty
Producer - "Okay, we want this to be neutral... I don't want them to think they're listening to someone who is from anywhere in particular"
Canadian V/O - "Alright, here we go... someone who is from nowhere in particular apealing to everyone from everyone, without sounding like he apeals to anyone from anywhere in specific"
Engineer - "Flowers to everywhere, Take 1"
Canadian V/O - "In our collection of Christmas flowers you’ll find arrangements in the rich hues of the festive holiday season"
Producer - "That was good, but can you pronounce 'our' more like "R" and less like "ower" and on the 'you'll' can you make it less of a 'yoowul' and elongate it to be more 'yool'?"
Canadian V/O - "Can do... Just curious, what part of the US are you from?"
Producer - "Well I live in Brooklyn, but the home office is in Texas and most of our customer base is in the Pacific NorthWest"
Canadian V/O - "Ah, got it" _________________ Brian Forrester Voice Overs
