Hey Gang!
Did anyone get an e-mail like this? I'm very suspicious of it.
Greetings:
You are one of a small number of talent who have been selected for a study of the Voiceover industry. Focus 25 Research and Consulting is conducting this research project in order to provide an independent, confidential analysis of the Voiceover marketplace. By spending ten minutes to complete this questionnaire, you will provide feedback that will enable major players in the industry to better serve you and to increase the professionalism of the Voiceover field.
Your responses are confidential. They will only be reported to the sponsor of this study in the aggregate and to the industry trade press in the form of a White Paper summarizing the state of the Voiceover marketplace.(If you would like a copy of this White Paper, the last question gives you an opportunity to request a personal copy.) Please respond TODAY—a timely response will ensure that your experiences will be included in this study.
Please click here to participate and share your experiences:

Seems pre-occupied with pay to play sites showing a complete lack of understanding of the business which is not and never has been about paying money to get leads! |

My best guess is the sponsor to whom they refer is one of the P2P sites. _________________ Lee Gordon, O.A.V.

Major players?
Major nameless players. If they were as major as they are being cracked up to be, they wouldn't need input from us about the state of the Voiceover marketplace. There was and is plenty of professionalism in voiceover. And I don't trust websites whose URLs are made up of strings of numbers. There's an awful lot of effort being put forth to hide (something).
I already have my 'white paper' and it is Charmin.
Nothing personal, Augie, but I think you're working for a bunch of used car dealers. _________________ Mike

I didn't get it.
First impression is it's one of the PtoP sights -- or someone trying to see if there's an opportunity to start a new one. _________________ http://MichaelSchoen.com |

I just got the same email.
I replied asking if I will be paid for filling out this questionnaire.
He replied:
Patrick: No, we're doing the project to get an overview of the industry. Unfortunately, the budget is big enough to pay for the software and the analysis, but not for incentives. That's why we are offering a copy of the White Paper of the results--our thought is that most people in the industry will find that more valuable than cash.... Augie

the thing i find more valuable than white paper is GREEN paper ... with little numbers in the corners ... big numbers in the corners are even better. _________________ "i know philip banks": todd ellis
