Has this ever happened to you?
I get chosen for a narration based on my interpretation in an audition -- "agency likes that you sound as though you are talking to someone."
Great --
Then the agency's client says -- "we need James Earl Jones, not Mr Rogers!" Opposite directions.
I tell them James is probably available if they want to pay him -- then send them a "bigger" read. _________________ http://MichaelSchoen.com |

I may be in the midst of something similar right now. I'll have a better idea later today (maybe). _________________ Lee Gordon, O.A.V.

All the time.
I get cast in stuff because they like the way I sound and then they pair me in a two-voicer with another female who has my same general pitch and timbre.
Guess who makes the change? _________________ DBCooperVO.com

I can relate.
Got hired based on an audition, then during the phone patch session get told to do something completely different.
So it sounds like I'm not the only one who sometimes wonders if I've been smokin' crack without realizing it

It's exactly what I asked for but not what I had in mind.

Being the professional you are, you just lowered your voice down two octaves. "That's great. Now could we try it as if Tiny Tim were saying it?" |

I'd pay real money to hear Bob sound like Tiny Tim!
