Anyone experience the unpleasant chemical smell that emits from the 703 in a small studio space? How long did you let the panels air out before wrapping in fabric and hanging them in the space? There is some Formaldehyde used in the manufacturing process and even after unpacking and letting them air, there still seems to be some offgassing.

I've never had a problem. There should be almost no oder, no more than any
other fiberglass insulation product -and that to date is nil.

As a matter of fact I've had more problem with the "fire treatment" on the
fabric that covers the panels than I do anything else.

If you have a problem set them out in the sun for a day. That should do the trick.

Wow. The word "gas" in the subject and then mention of a foul smell and no comedic posts?

I'll wait for it. 3...2...1.....

Never takes long around these parts :)

When I did my panels I didn't notice any odor at all. The only smells came from the 3M spray glue and the burlap. That all went away fairly quickly via the open window,

Maybe I am not supposed to do this, I haven't read the rules lately, but here is a meaty thread about this very topic on Gearslutz. I've only read the first page worth, but it does have some people concerned enough to look for alternatives to conventional fiberglass insulation.
