I decided to do this again for my Lady, however it can be done for any sweetheart this year. What are you doing for you S.O.?
Twisted Tiramisu
Ready in: > 5 hrs
Serves/Makes: 10
Ingredients:
1 Box Twinkies.
1/2 cup strong coffee, cooled & sweetened with 1 to 2 tablespoons of sugar.
1/4 cup Kahlua (optional).
1/2 gallon coffee or coffee & chocolate ice cream.
Chocolate shavings or sprinkles (unsweetened cocoa powder may also be dusted on top).
Directions:
Slice Twinkies in half lengthwise. Spray a 9" x 5" loaf pan with cooking spray.
Put FIVE of the Twinkie halves, cream side up, side by side in pan.
Mix coffee and Kahlua (optional); with pastry brush, apply liberally to cut side of Twinkies.
Spoon about a 1/2 inch layer of softened ice cream over Twinkies.
Repeat in layers until you have used enough Twinkies & ice cream to fill the loaf pan.
Cover tightly with foil and freeze several hours or overnight.
This can be served from the pan in slices or un-molded, garnished with the chocolate shavings or dusted with unsweetened cocoa powder, and served.

Darn Frank, there goes my diet.
Funny you should ask about VD this year (get your mind out of the gutter, that's Valentine's Day)....Seeing as I"m flying solo, I have told the children that we are not going to celebrate Valentine's Day. Instead, we will be celebrating Chinese New Year which also falls on the 14th. Year of the Tiger baby!! I'm even thinking this is the year to get that tiger tat I've been wanting . So we will be researching the proper ways to celebrate and foods to celebrate with....then we'll buy half off Valentine's candy on Monday.
Best of both worlds. _________________ Moe Egan

Every room in my house is covered with glitter since I thought it would be fun to make the 25 cards needed for kindergarten. I didn't take into account that the children would bring them into every room. Glitter on the toilet, my yoga mat, the organ, the treadmill...it's everywhere!
We don't celebrate VD. Never have. We celebrate the day after, the day Dan yelled at me over the phone, after many months of saying we weren't really dating, "YOU ARE MY GIRLFRIEND AND THAT'S THE END OF IT BECAUSE I LOVE YOU." I think that was 13 years ago. Half price candy is sooo in order. But that recipe sounds delicious. What a great excuse to eat twinkies!! _________________ 006 member of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Mic. Bonded by sound.
