|
|
The wife has been getting ready all week. Our house has never been this clean. I mean it's hospital clean and I'm not allowed to walk in the living room with my shoes on until after tonight. Why? Because the neighborhood ladies will be gathering in our house this evening for wine and bunko. I've been informed to either leave or lock myself upstairs in my office. Fine by me.
What is bunko you ask? I don't believe it's a real game. I think it's simply an excuse for the ladies to have a few drinks and a good time without the societal pressures involved with respectable women getting a bit tiddly.
Wife just called and told me to go wipe down the counters one more time. Oh joy. _________________ Hart Voice Overs Blog

I'm really glad I'm not the only one that has to go through that! My wife is just as bad concerning that.....she doesn't have get togethers, but any time anyone...and I mean anyone is coming over we have to do the full military field day of the house with the white glove inspection....even places the company will not be going. I feel for ya man. I just went through it this past weekend. enjoy your lock down in the office....which is where I'm sure you'd rather be anyway..... Have a great night! _________________ TG2

Your post count might increase rapidly depending on where your PC is.
Have fun.

A) trying to sort out asp stuff and get my client login working correctly on the website
or

and now here I am. I had to go pick up an elderly member of the group who doesn't drive when it's dark or when it rains. Very nice lady. Get to take her home too.
While I was gone my lovely wife was kind enough to set up a small tray for me in the office containing a red delicious apple and sharp knife, a large bottle of water, and a bottle of Yuengling. mmm tasty.
Oh, the dog is locked in the office with me too. Planned to leave her outside but since it's raining.... _________________ Hart Voice Overs Blog

Hmm... Counters... countersss... I think we had those when we moved in here 10 years ago. I'll have to look and see if they're still underneath the school art projects, bills, grocery receipts, etc that now adorn our kitchen... My wife was just offered a job in Bangor, ME so we will most likely have counters again VERY soon. _________________ Greg Littlefield

Apparently a good time was had by all. The dog and I shared an apple while hiding in the office, the ladies shared a few laughs while throwing dice in the dining room and kitchen.
They seemed to enjoy the Pinot Grigio I picked out for them but not the Cabernet Sauvignon. Perhaps it was too heavy for bunko. I find it a bit fruity, but not bad overall.
I've discovered I'm now out of vodka and cherry limeade. I never would have considering mixing those but two of the ladies apparently thought it quite tasty. So much for my decent vodka.
I ended up playing a few games, then playing with plug-ins in Audition. No web work.
And so concludes another exciting chapter in the book of Brian.

Brian, you know hind sight is 20/20 but you could have helped turned this event from good to great if you would have hired Banksey for some lap dancing! |

What the hell is "Bunko"?!?
I know BUNCO is a fixed game, or a swindle of some kind.
And yeah-- hide the Ciroc next time.
