Synchronized swimming does it for me... I walk away muttering something about the futility of it all and how you could get the same effect by drowning a bunch of Barbie dolls. Olympic sport. PAH!

Curling. I have no idea what the sport is in that. It's like shuffleboard on ice. Dare I say it (but I'm in a mood, so I will)... it's the stupidest thing I've ever seen.

We all have to be good at something. I'm good at tripping over things. It would be an Olympic sport if my fellow trippers would just step up already.

No accounting for taste, I guess. I love ice dancing and curling. Watching them, I mean.

This feels like it could turn into the PC vs. Mac wars. I did enjoy the Men's Figure Skating, Snow Boarding and any time Apollo Ohno is on the ice. I must admit some of the Down Hill Skating makes me nervous. I don't like watching people wrapping themselves around the poles.

I need to look up curling and learn more about it, I guess. I just don't see the "sport" in it. Everything else takes training and practice, you know? Even ice dancing (as silly as it may look to some)... you have to be able to skate well, which not everyone can do. But curling? I just don't get it.

Todd made me laugh. I don't get curling at ALL either Caryn, and my high school sweetie was the captain of a curling team. I thought it looked like shuffle board on ice and so it must be an old folks' game. Oddly enough....my 13 year old is fascinated by it and wants to find a team to join. Looks like I'm gonna find out more about curling.

I love ice dancing - don't see how they call it a sport, but I do watch it when it's on.

I have to agree with you whole heartedly about Apolo Ohno Chrissy - but for me this year, the best part of the olympics has been to see Bode Miller's head out of his rear end and back on the ski slope. I loves me some Bode. He's a total NH home grown freak....in a very cool freak kind of way cool

Yeah, Ice Dancing & Curling...not so much.

The men's & women's figure skating & all their athleticism, oh YEAH!
And DOWNHILL!...OMG......knowing that I love speeding down a hill, I can only imagine a BIT of what it feels like to go that fast....yikes....but SO amazing to watch those athlete maintain control at 90mph!
And this year I LOVED the snowboard cross!

And Hockey....and although I am rooting for the USA in every other sport...I'm rooting for Canada & Marty Brodeur in Hockey (He's our NJ Devils goalie & my favorite player!)
With hockey what was interesting for us last night was that 3 of the 23 players on the ice last night are on the NJ Devils (Brodeur for Canada / Parise & Langenbruner on US) AND 2 former NJ Devils as well: Niedermeyer (Canada) & Rafalski (US)...It was almost light watching a reunion Devils game!

Bobsledding is something I've always wanted to try at least once.

But like most things of that nature, it's not something they let you "try."
