Hello, VO-BBer's!
It's been a while since I've been here. I see several new faces since I took my health-related sabbatical.
I’ve done very little voice work over the last year and a half as I’ve been bouncing back. I’ve been doing a lot of writing, as I could do that at my own pace. While that’s fine and I’ve been grateful for the work, I really want to get back to where my heart is – voice work. I almost feel like a newbie jumping back in this way.
Anyway, here’s my question. Would you share the note you use to introduce yourself and your service as a VO artist to people that might need these services? I feel like my note is just blah.
Thanks and God bless us, everyone! _________________ Joni Lambert

Joni,
Welcome back. I'm glad to know you are doing better. Sadly, I don't have anything to share regarding your specific question, simply because I don't do the kind of marketing you're asking about. I'm sorry. _________________ Be well,

Welcome back!
I'll give you an example of what I use as my brief "sales pitch" on a "pay-to-play" site when I submit an audition:
Hello,
Thank you for the opportunity to bid on your project!
I've been one of the top male voice-over talents in the Midwest since 1989. I started Voices On Studio in 2001 and have since voiced hundreds of projects, from web-based Flash animation to regional TV spots to college-level textbook narrations to corporate narrations for dozens of Fortune 500 clients. I've voiced quite a few Telly (and other) award-winning spots in my career, and have also been an agent-recommended voice-over coach and demo producer.
I have voiced national TV spots for clients such as: Coor's, Midas, Betty Crocker, Novalis, AARP, Time Warner Cable, and - currently running - Easy-Forex Online Currency Trading. I’ve also narrated nationally-distributed "Reading Skills" and "Science" grade school textbooks for Scott Foresman Publishing.
I can deliver your audio in the format of your choice within 24 hours via email or FTP, and do have a phone patch. If you like what you hear from me, please add me to your “Favorites.”
All the best,
Tom Test

Some might say this is actually too long, and sometimes I will cut out the list of past clients. I also might throw in the sentence "One of my specialties is_____" if in fact their project IS something I'm especially good at. Hope this helps! _________________ Best regards,
