Can the temperature of a microphone actually influence the way it sounds? Here's the story of how a chance discovery led to the development of a revolutionary product I'm very proud of: http://bit.ly/cp0Bxz

Prof. Dr. Heinz Gruenewald has written a personal letter regarding the "Mic Warmer". Please read: http://wp.me/pBTtY-UH

For those in search of warmth -- a sock works just fine warming most mics and may even be a good dust minimizer, capsule protector and windscreen. I prefer cotton though. Make sure they aren't used socks. (dreamey music now and wavering visual effects:) Maybe I should market Gregory Best branded mic warmer socks if we have a Harlan Hogan VO Mic. I could get rich. I could sell franchises, maybe Philip wants in as the UK rep?

My mics warmed nicely upon moving to Southern California and I hear the Beach Boy's "Warmth of the Sun"...

That begs the question: do wealthy voice-over pros sound "richer," and can we pick out the not-so-well to do by their poor sound quality?

Personally, I think we should use Micro-fleece to warm up our microphones, or would that produce too much static?

By the way: I'm still receiving responses from people who should know better, but who are taking this prank way too seriously. They actually believe I'm on to something. I guess I brought it upon myself and now I have to suffer the consequences... Cry

Gotta go. Must pre-warm my preamp now to get ready to read a steamy audio book.
