Aloha Gang,
I have been working with a coach for a few sessions now, and she needs to "direct" me on a couple of things.
THis is what I have done. Mostly it works, but I get some bleed through on the recording.
I have my Mackie 802VLZ3 running through my Sapphire Pro 24 firewire interface. I works great. In skype, under options, I have set the ASIO saffire as the audio input. I have left the audio output, as my Sigmatel sound card.
Now, I have routed the output of the sound card into the tape IN on the mackie. It works, EXCEPT, I am getting a little bleed through of the "callers" voice, which I do not want to record. I am using Adobe Audition 3
I had thought maybe it was my cans (Sony MDR 7506) but they are sealed. Yet even so I wonder?
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what the problem might be and how to correct it?
Thanks in advance |

Just mute the channel on the Mackie that receives the Skype caller's audio, and press "Alt 3/4" in the control room section. That will remove any bleed or loop-back from calls getting in your recordings, and you'll still hear the caller. Of course, keep the level from the caller low in your cans to be safe... _________________ If it sounds good, it is good.
