Last week the head of news for a TV station contacted me saying that his 18 year old son wanted to be a Journalist/reporter but was having problems with his voice, was I able to help? I said I'd certainly be happy to talk to him.
Monday 2pm my ISDN burst into life with Father and son at one end and me in Portgordon.
"Hello, can you hear me?" asked Dad. I heard him over my office speakers and got up to go into my Wee Huttie.
"I'm in the wrong room, be with you in a moment" I said having opened the Huttie door, I was off mic but they heard. There was laughter at the other end and I heard Dad say to son "I'd forgotten just how that sounded".
I settled in front of the mic and put on my headphones.
"Right with you now"
"Have you ever hear of a man called Don La Fontaine?" asked Dad.
"Yes"
"You're the UK equivalent"
A TV journalist/reporter/head of news said it so it must be true mustn't it?
...........Yeah, that's what I thought too but was polite enough not to say it out loud. |

So, Philip, does this mean you're trading in the Nissan for a white limo? _________________ Be well,

You've travelled along the road from Portgordon to Spey Bay, what do you think? |

Impractical at best. Nissan is a much better choice, though Jazz and Bess might enjoy romping around inside the limo. _________________ Be well,

I just bought a Rover and will drive across the Atlantic to pick you up, Philip. Streets are boring here. |
