When I put the order in for isdn service to my home studio what exactly do I need to ask for? I will be using a Musicam Roadrunner.
Thanks

Where I am you call the phone company's business office, not residential, and tell them you want to order a pair of ISDN lines.
Interesting fact for the novice: your current analog land lines requires 2 wires each to work, that's why each individual phone line comes as a pair, while the ISDN only requires 1 wire for each phone number, so both lines can come into your home on a single wire pair.

I was investigating the same thing recently and others here pointed me to Digifon's site:
http://digifon.com/OrderISDNservice.html
They've got a lot of very detailed info there on exactly what you'll need. They also offer a service where they'll handle the whole set-up for you.
The thread that I started on the same topic is here:

Hope this helps...

Jim,
Let me second the recommendation to hire Dave Immer at Digifon to do the leg-work for you. It was the best $400 I spent last year. _________________ Be well,

Digifon Dave Immer = worth the money. Using ISDN is easy--But getting it installed, is not. |

While I do most of the ordering for my clients, Dave Immer is my guy when I am in a bind with ISDN. He knows the technology and the codec hardware better than anyone I know. _________________ If it sounds good, it is good.
