We keep mentioning our particular verbal potholes that we run into, but do any of us dare to actually display them for all to see (hear)? Well I'm in a devil-may-care mood and a bit loony after a long day of narration, so here's my submission:
In Indiana we call 'em satissics
Oh the embarrassment of it all.

Try reading this one:
"Since then, space-based observatories such as the Italian-Dutch BeppoSax X-ray satellite..."
Every time I read it, it came out "Italian-Dutch BeppoSEX X-ray..." _________________ Charter Member: Threadjackers Local 420 |

Hold on Bruce---Indiana? Is that where Gandhi was? Or were you just testing to see if we were reading? |

Actually I was quoting Indiana native, David Letterman.
I believe, satissically speaking, that "statistics" is one of our harder words to pronounce hitting it cold. Throw the word "just" in front of it, and well, you heard what happened to me anyway. (Hey, where's the emoticon with the tongue dangling out to one side?)
