Long overdue, a thread for the WOOT AWESOME DOOD GUESS WHAT I JUS' UP N GONE N DONE brigade.

I'd start but am pretending that all my jobs are subject to NDAs. So don't expect me to tell you about the ad for the BMW 116i I did this morning because I can't ...m'lips are sealed ...sorry about that.

It's just like the Muppet Movie when I was a kid. My Dad laughed more than I did and I couldn't figure out why.

Toy Story 2 is just about as perfect as a movie can get.

Dan,

Nice work! And Philip, another BMW commercial. Good for you!

Cool stuff, Philip and Dan!

(edited to remove reference to material with which I'm apparently not allowed to acknowledge any involvement, even though it's public knowledge. Politics suck.)

How cool you guys. Very nice.

Me? I'm going to another studio for a change and narrating another video for a company that makes flea and tick shampoos and such products. In these videos I've also been the voice of various members of the flea and tick families, but this time we're just talking about getting rid of flea larvae, and apparently they don't talk. They'll just wave and smile, until, DUNH DUNH DUNNNNNH..... well you know the story.

Rarely a dull day in this business.

I love hearing what everyone's up to - I always get a big kick out of hearing all y'all in my every day life- even my kids know your voices Smile

I just finished up what I thought was a very cool gig. I did the English portion of the IVR for the Mall of Dubai's phone system. Holy Hannah, 15 plus pages of just store names - in English, Arabic, French, Italian and German.

Just in case you're wondering, there is a Gloria Jeans and a Krispy Kreme there. Kiss

Just voicing husband, guttural pain sounds and a political..nothing of note.

BUT I have what I think is a funny story.

Recently we had a pretty heavy wind storm the aftermath of which had rendered our metal gazebo on the stamped concrete patio ultimately useless. This saddens the wife a bit.

So she's watching Food Network while I'm off doing something and she sees an ad for SunSetter awnings which she hadn't seen before and thinks HEY!....wouldn't it be nice to have one of those, I wonder how much they cost, they roll up automatically so they wouldn't get ruined!

With about 5 seconds left in the spot she thinks..oh, that Peter's voice.

Screwy priorities that woman has, I tell ya!

I am about 14 hours into a very tedious IVR project that I hope none of you ever get to hear because if you do, that means you are delinquent on your gas bill. But at least I get to be reasonably well compensated for droning every possible permutation of 2- and 3- digit numbers, days, weeks, months, and threatening remarks.

Meanwhile, I still get to revel in the gloat-worthiness of other people's exploits. I saw not one, but two, of Philip's Land Rover spots in the ballgame the other night and yet another of Pam's petunias over the weekend.
