I just upgraded from a Powermac G5 (Tiger) to a Mac-Mini (Snow Leopard). I used Migration Assistant and everything seems to be in place. BUT I just noticed that some of my audio plug-ins did not transfer...a couple of Waves bundles and a plug-in from IK Multimedia that reverted to trial mode. Do I need to re-install all these or is there another option? Thanks!

Yes, you need to re-authorize these.
Please tell me you keep a notebook or list with all your authorization codes in it.

When I try to re-authorize the plug-ins I get a message saying the 'required software extensions are missing', even though I installed the latest PACE extensions. PACE has a note on their site saying that if you're running OS X 10.5 or above and keep getting sent back for extensions then the software needs to be updated. I now fear WAVES is gonna make me buy updated bundles (I've been running V5). Maybe I need V7 now. I emailed their tech support and am awaiting word.

That could be the case.

Tiger to Snow Leopard is in a way a big jump. Keeping in mind that Snow Leopard is the first step into 64-bit processing.

Acoustics are counter-intuitive. If one thing is certain about acoustics, it is that if anything seems obvious it is probably wrong.

Chris:

Longshot here but...

Some Mac software installs support files in the Mac's shared user account to make functions available to all users, not just the main admin. If you still have access to the old Mac, you might try poking around in the Shared user folder for files to copy over.

The path to the relevant area would look like this

(your disk name)/Users/Shared/

You might also look in

(your disk name)/Users/Shared/Library/Application Support/

May not be relevant here, but could be worth a few minutes of poking around.
