Attended my first Audiobook Publishers Association Conference...amazing group of people and very glad to have met Elaine and Melissa.
Curious if anyone here studied Acting in NYC and can make recommendations? _________________ jonahcummings |

Yes, APAC is always fun -- sorry I didn't have a chance to meet you as well. Peter Ganim was there as well as John Florian -- of course, Scott Brick, and some very fine audiobook narrators like Dion Graham, Tavia Gilbert, Johnny Heller and Katherine Kellgren. So great to have that opportunity to talk with them. I like that they allowed ample time for networking, chatting, eating and drinking in the schedule this year. At the beautiful Westin Times Square.
Acting (not specifically VO) schools? Or just acting coaches? _________________ Diane

Yes, I always enjoy APAC. Hilary Huber was also there, CJ Critt, Barbara Rosenblat, Grover Gardner, Robin Miles - tons of others and ALL of the publishers were there. More showed up for the Audies - and this year the food was great.
Got to hang with my buddy Janet Ault - -
And the tech guys let me mess with the Neumanns and Sennheisers - |

It was great seeing you all - Jonah, better late than never
I finally got to meet the one and only audiobook publisher in Canada. While she currently only hires local folk who speak Newfoundlandese, who knows when she'll branch out.
In the couple of days after the conference, I managed to get in a couple of shows - and I can highly recommend both Fences and Next Fall.
Wandered around in the extreme heat taking pictures. All in all, a good time.
Sue (sorry, you had to be there...) _________________ Elaine
