Holy cow, I'm sorry to hear about your son's troubles. And holy cow, that's a heckuva price on that equipment. Other than it being a holiday weekend, they should go quickly.
My best to your family, and wishes for the fastest possible recovery.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers. I wanted to post here first--it's my favorite VO site, and I think the world of all of you. I've learned so much from your postings and I wanted to give you first dibs.
Here's the short story: My son, Adam, went turkey hunting with some church friends on May 11, in a small farmimg community just north of Bangor, ME.
They all took positions around the wooded part of a field. One of his buds lost sight of Adam and fired at a bird. (BTW, turkey hunters all wear camo, which makes the most dangerous sport on the planet.)
Adam was hit with bird shot--about 60 plus pellets--with many hitting his face, head, arms, back and legs. He almost died of shock in the field, but he prayed for the chance to see his wife and kids again. The good Lord heard his prayer. Both of eyes were injured severely. The doctor gave him a 10 percent chance of having any sight. Adam ended up having one eye removed, but the other now has 20/20 vision. The doctor couldn't believe it, but with our God nothing is impossible. Adam has a journey ahead and a few more surgeries, but he is determined. Please continue to pray for healing and financial stability. His medical bills will be astronomical.
Your VO friend,
Nelson |
