After the appeal Bob Bergen made at the closing Banquet at VOICE2010 on behalf of legendary voice-actress June Foray, I launched a 'SMURF JUSTICE FOR JUNE FORAY' FaceBook page.
The idea is to get as many people as possible to "like" the page to apply pressure on Sony Studios to include this still-working-at-age-92 cartoon legend in a new planned movie about the Smurfs.
June appeared as the first voice of Jokey Smurf and Mother Nature. To date, she has not even been asked to appear (even as a token gesture) in this production.
Visit THIS page to lend your support by clicking on the "like" box at the top of the page (this used to be the FaceBook "fan" page thing, but they changed it recently).
The idea would be to gain enough populist support that we can get some respect for June to be included in this movie (a la the recent swell of support for Betty White to be on SNL).
Thanks!

June Foray is one of my most fav VO people of all time. I loved jokey smurf and I can't imagine Pee Wee Herman doing the voice...I think June should do the voice....end of story.
I am sure there is a nice movie or something pee wee could listen too or maybe just maybe he could play the part of Pei Wei (I think that's the spelling) He was a "minstral"? with a horrid voice |

Thanks Dave. I heard June recently being interviewed on WBZ radio in Boston. She sounds fantastic. |
