Hi gang. I've been lurking for some time now, and am glad to be among you officially. Been freelancing full-time for around five years, and have been doing more of the "reach out and touch someone" thing for the last few months. I've met some great people, and look forward to meeting more.
See you 'round the forums!

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone.
Liz, I did not bring cake...as someone who typically gets to the party late, I usually try to insinuate myself in the action surreptitiously, although it would be easier to do that if I didn't announce myself at the door upon arrival. Next time, I'll bring a chocolate mousse pie and a loaf of Portuguese Sweet Bread to make up for this unforgivable faux-pas.
Jeffery, that I'm here is all your fault, so now everyone knows who to blame. Although the blame for my lateness remains squarely upon my own shoulders. Still, we'll both have to battle on and hold our heads up high in spite of the circumstances.
Dave, YES! I did get your care package, thanks! I'm using the mouse pad as we speak...uh, as I type...uh...well, you know. And I sent you a token of my appreciation through PayPal, so keep an eye on your email for that.
To everyone else: I hope I can bring items of value to the proceedings. I'm one of those "self-taught" types so anything I do is typically "from the gut." Also, I have a terrible habit of abusing "quotes," and my therapist says that comes from an incident in my childhood involving the Dick and Jane stories, a bus accident, and an airborne peanut butter sandwich...but that's a whole other story best left for Halloween, a darkened room lit only by candles, and a bottle of room-temperature Port (shaken, not stirred...)
So...yeah.
But seriously: GREAT to be here! _________________ ab

Hi Andy...welcome to the light...although "proceedings" might be a bit formal. Loved your cast of characters! _________________ jonahcummings |

Jonah--
Thanks for your kind words. And I'm encouraged: clearly I don't do "formal" very well... _________________ ab

Welcome to the fray, Andy! Aside from "The Cake Incident," it looks like you're slipping into the swing of things quite smoothly. _________________ Justin S. Barrett
