Funny! And a good illustration of how studying with Nancy Wolfson can improve your delivery. _________________ the Amy Snively family of brands for all your branded thing needs.

How totally sad. I knew this day would come, but not this soon! Text to VO has been perfected and now anyone can write a script and have it performed without me, or any of us for that matter.
I'll be out of touch for a while as I go look for another job. Wow...changing careers at this point in my life. In case I don't make it back alive, so long friends. This has been fun.

I was thinking the same thing, Bruce.
True story: I was negotiating price with a guy who actually told me that text-to-speech was getting so good, that it had driven the rate for audio book narration into the toilet and that it is going to become increasingly difficult to earn a living in VO. _________________ the Amy Snively family of brands for all your branded thing needs.

I think we'll be OK through the end of the year, anyway. Then we start filling out applications at the mall. _________________ the Amy Snively family of brands for all your branded thing needs.

"soft-pack or box?"
"do ya need a powerball ticket with that?"
i'm getting better ... _________________ "i know philip banks": todd ellis

People still go to the theater. There's something about a live emotional performance.
Machines aren't there yet. (If they were, I'd have one go make me a gin and tonic RIGHT NOW)

First, I had tears running down my face.
But second, are we sure this is actually all computer-generated speech? Based on the inconsistency of phrasing--and what I hear as attitude--I'm not convinced it isn't talent "playing" robots. It's my understanding, though i can't confirm this, that the voice of the Atlanta airport monorail back in the 80's when I traveled extensively, was an actor playing a robotic voice. It made sense, since there was no reason to have the voice computer-generated--it said the same thing in an endless loop.
So, before cashing in our chips, we should know for sure.
But if it is real...
We're screwed. |

It is computer generated, but I don't think it's synthesized. You type in the words, the computer puts it all together, et voila. _________________ the Amy Snively family of brands for all your branded thing needs.
