What I find the most interesting about this interview isn't in what Javier is saying about his role as Spanish Buzz in Toy Story 3. It's the fact that his residence in London has tainted his Spanish accent with a hint of British in certain places.

If most folks were to slip between accents like that, they'd be accused of inconsistency, and yet this is how Javier actually talks. I love it!

I mentioned this clip to some friends recently, and after further consideration, I suppose his dual accent shouldn't really be that much of a surprise. With anyone coming from Spain to an English-speaking country, the non-Spanish accent they're going to adopt will be that of the country in which they live. I suppose it only sounded strange to me because I'm so used to hearing what might be called a Spanish-American accent.

That's just the long way of saying, "Nothing to see here. Move along."
