Ok, not the VO work as such just the fruits thereof helped:
Zarifa Ruzieva, Dushanbe, Tajikistan, purchase stock for her general store.
Martha in Bolivia raise fryer chickens for her business.
ECPAT continue to fight to bring an end to Child Prostitution, Child Pornography and the Trafficking of Children.

...............and probably one or two other people along the way as well.

Mine has helped Jack Waller in Des Moines, who was confused about what insurance to buy. It helped Casey DeStefano of Fresno, choose a new bathroom cleaner and Mike Kellog of Dallas, choose a Chevy 4X4 as his new truck purchase.

But it goes even deeper than that as I have helped countless individuals choose "Press 2 for customer service" and I have helped those with limited English skills when I say things like "para continuar in Espanol oprima numero tres en este momento."

I have helped numerous wii users confused about how to get their boogie boards started and I help them selct the course that's right for them.

And in AT&T stores I help keep those waiting in line company by showing them the many choices of Blue tooth headsets they can choose from.

And most recently, I've been helping people navigate the complicated maze of candidates and propositions, as I show them exactly who and wha to vote for and why.

I could have gone into something less rewarding like medicine or the Peace Corps., but the warm and fuzzy feeling I get when I know my words have stimulated someone to call and order a pizza thatis helping to stimulate our economy and provide needed jobs is something that couldn't be replaced.

Thanks for reminding me of this Philip. God Bless us all and especially Tiny Tim.

The business funding is via an organisation called Kiva. The idea is to offer loans to people and ideally lend to someone else upon repayment ...Oh recycling too! Right on! My favourite was a loan to a lady and her son to buy a PA system so they could hire themselves plus gear to for local festivals. Being business minded I hope to fund a hearing aid shop in that country too as it could be a growth market.

The problem for ECPAT is having sufficient money sloshing around to out resource the people who bribe local officials to turn a collective blind-eye when a child goes missing. For "missing" read "gets sold by family".

KIVA... You can help for as little as $25, and most of the entrepeneurs are sporting very inexpensive dreams.
