ALL FIXED NOW:
New link: http://www.brucemiles.com
Well, I took the kudos and the karps on my Political website, and I ended up listening to the karps and actually got some very nice, modern design ideas from Peter O'Connell. Anyway, I took those ideas and applied them to a planned re-design of my main VO website, which (shudder) I offer for your comments as well. I'm still dinking with little things, but the basics are there. And I know the first video demo is too loud. I'm working on that still. Actually I'm trying to find a way to host the videos myself, but that's eluding me, thus I'm letting others host them until I can.
Oh, and you'll see a link to my totally redesigned Political site if you're wondering how that turned out.
Thanks!

b. i didn't listen to all the demos, only the "i'm not a doctor ..." one, which is funny and weird. ptl
but it's got strange things going on, like a search box and a big arrow and other anomalies, prior to and at the end of play.
good luck! _________________ sitting at #8, though not as present as I'd like to be. Hello!

Well, I got it all figured out now, I think. All the videos are flashy things now coming off my own server instead of YouTube and I've revamped my main site instead of test location:

When I clicked on it, the site opened and started auto-playing all the demos simultaneously. _________________ Chris Rice - Noisemaker

And everything loads at the same time.
Don't let the tracks load until clicked upon. _________________ The Blog:

Acoustics are counter-intuitive. If one thing is certain about acoustics, it is that if anything seems obvious it is probably wrong. |

That's totally weird. They're not supposed to autoplay. I'm not sure how to keep them from all loading at the same time either. It's not a big deal with my ISP...they all load up in about 2 seconds, but they are unusually fast.

Apparently I can't do fine tune HTML editing when inserting Flash videos using my website software. Soooo...back to the YouTube videos for now.
Ugh.

Bruce, it's working fine for me. Looks clean, too. I just love your voice! _________________ 006 member of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Mic. Bonded by sound.

In Chrome, everything is playing all at once and there are weird scrollbars.
You need to download alternate browsers and do thorough testing. _________________ Jeff

I just looked on Mac Safari 5 and noticed there was no player visible for your Narration demo. Just the empty space where it should be. _________________ Bob Ransom

Now that's just frikkin' weird y'all. It plays fine on my Firefox and fine on my Safari 4.1 (I guess I should update). The audio demos even work fine on my ancient and discontinued IE for Mac (I haven't updated the Flash player so the YouTube vids won't play on it).
What I'm using is a simple Quicktime player built in to my creation software that should work with everybody. (Thank goodness less than 1% if my viewers use Chrome)
As I've stated before the conflicting and incomplete instructions I get from various web sources on how to install flash just makes my eyes buggy and glassy. Gotta go find me a pro I guess. I just wanted to have control so I can modify the site instantly if I wish.

Bruce, if you like the flash players on my website, let me know. Super-easy to install and I'd be happy to do it for you. _________________ Jeff
