Saw that earlier on your FB page. Very cleverly assembled! Thanks for sharing the fun here!

Strangely makes Cobain seem even more of a talent than he was. The songs hold up under all kinds of different contexts.

Heart Shaped Box makes a spiffy reggae romp, btw.

Seeing these videos prompted me to go looking for another obvious choice, a mashup of My Sweet Lord with He's So Fine, but the only ones I could find were all pretty clumsy. However, during the search, I was surprised to discover that the actual Chiffons had recorded the actual My Sweet Lord.

And Lennon ripped off "You Can't Catch" me by Chuck Berry for "Come Together".

Even the same lyrics:

Here come ol' flat top, he come groovin' up slowly vs.
Here come ol' flat top, he was movin' up with me

Sung in the same way, just slower in Come Together.

I've also read that Hey Jude was an entire rip off of a Japanese pop song, but I never followed up on that and I can't find the link now.

All My Loving is a rip off of Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Pas de Deux.

When I first played this for my wife her jaw dropped.

I grew up a Beatlesmaniac, but as time goes by I am more and more a Stones guy.

It is?
Not to be a crank, but I can't hear it.

And no, I'm not a Stones fan.

I was on the radidio back when the "He's So Fine", "My Sweet Lord" controversy was going on. During a show I put both songs on the turntables and faded back and forth between them. The similarities were stunning.

I still believe George wrote it from scratch, but when you're a song writer and there's an old catchy tune in your head, I'm sure it's hard to ignore.
