By the way, if they're animated GIFs, hitting the escape key on your keyboard will make them stop. If they are Flash, then I just click away, or--if I really need info from the page--I stick Post-its on the screen until I'm finished reading.
I was specifically requested to send them an animated GIF. If it's any consolation. I'm planning on resetting it to repeat 3 times and then stop!

One day, I had quite a few Post-its on my monitor blocking flashing ads. My son surveyed the scene and dryly asked "Can I get you some Wite-Out?"
