Hi y'all!

I was wondering if I could get some feedback on my demo as well as possible designs for my website.

Here's my demo:
http://www.4shared.com/audio/6vVZLGge/VO_Demo.html

Also, I'm running a design contest for my website. Do you think any of the following designs would work from a branding perspective? Do any of them make sense based on what my voice sounds like? Are any of the designs too juvenile / childish for a commercial voice over business?

(You can see bigger versions of each design by "mousing" over the design)

Thanks!

Your demo is fresh and bright. I listened to it 3 times... because I wanted to. I really like it.

The only thing I would like to hear in this demo is a medical spot, I really thing you could shine on something like that. A City Of Hope commercial would be great. Just keep your eyes open for some quality medical copy, you could slip it in when you freshen it up the next time.

So, because I'm me, I have to nitpick. I noticed whenever you did a "high energy" spot, it sounds like you go off mic, and I can hear the room. It's not a big deal, it's just something that I could not help noticing. I'm just a dork this way.

I'm not really liking the three designs I could see. Though I did like the idea of the Bee in the one design. I believe this design is capturing the most of your spirit. Over all they look like they came out of the same shop, and I'm not to thrilled by any of the fonts or the cookie cutter Adobe Illustrator look. But they are heading in the right direction.

Your demo is very nice and I'm guessing represents you well.

I lean towards web pages 1 and 2, but I'd put a play button for your demo right on the front page. The less work you make buyers go through, the better.

(yeah, I know, clicking a button ain't that much work, but, some people are awfully "busy" in their minds....why frustrate them?)

A quick pronunciation/interpretation note that jumped out at me:

On first listen to the Flower Tent spot, it sounded to me like you said:

"new, giddy impashins." I couldn't figure out what an impashin was, why they'd be giddy, and if I even needed a new one. After a couple of listens I realized that you were saying " Guinea Impatients." And that they're not "new, Guinea Impatients," but rather "New Guinea Impatients." Big interpretive difference.

Also, the bikini spot is 14 seconds long, but only features your voice for 3 seconds. Why so much of the guy? And why even have him come back at the end?

Except she's right to leave out the "T." The flowers are Impatiens.

Thanks, everyone! Great points. Mike, a medical spot is a GREAT idea; those were some of my favorite spots to practice with and I will definitely include one next time - maybe replacing the bikini spot? Smile

Still trying to figure out the web design...more updates as they come!
