Hey guys--What am I missing?

I ordered a Mighty Bright clip-on light touted on this board, thinking that maybe it would be perfect for the studio copy stand

I like to keep the overall light in the booth nice and dim, and just have the copy highlighted by a separate light. The Mighty Bright however, to my eyes, was totally not. Bright that is. In fact, it was painfully dim.

When I spoke to customer service they told me it's output was something like 57 lumens. Lumens, huh? So how, Mr Customer Service guy, does that translate into something I can use? When he checked, he was able to compare it for me to the 60 watt bulb I'm currently using. 900 lumens.

Okay: 60 watt bulb= 900 lumens of brightness
Might Light dual LED=57 lumens of darkness

So like I said: what am I missing?

Well, if you turn off all the lights in the room and sit there totally in the dark for half an hour, I betcha that thing will work perfectly. Of course doing that often will also attract bats.

Philip--I assumed your scripts always burst into flames, in your honor. Smile

Which RAT lamp? There are a bunch of them--single, double, tungsten, LED, gig etc.

357 Magnum .....

Oh right! Obviously the lamp does get warm but doesn't cause any real problems.

I have one of these little dual-head Mighty Brights on my copy stand and it works pretty well although it's a very cold white light.

That would be Chuck Norris, not Banksey.
