I learned a lot from doing this campaign with Intel. One of those really great sessions -- "no egos, no eggshells," to quote Amy. We did options for 45 minutes and they ended up picking one that surprised me. But having listened to it many times and talking about it with Birthday Girl Nancy Wolfson, I learned something about being in the foreground and the background at the same time.
Here's the spot: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e0FULHGwPkw
It's right smack in the center of both the x and y axis, knowwhutImean? _________________ http://www.daveelvin.com |

Assuming you are the guy delivering the tag at the end, I can only assume that you auditioned for this job, was chosen from a competitive field and subsequently directed into this performance.
I hire lots of actors for all kinds of things and I perform all kinds of stuff. I don't think that a succesfully performed "job" is something that should be critiqued. You are indeed a delivery vehicle who is performing to the desires of others.
As for X and Y axis, is that just some form of way of confusing an actor so that they continue to pay $200+ per hour fees?
Sorry, but I just don't get it.
Oh, er, um nice job on the Intel spot?! _________________ j.s. gilbert

Dave,
Very nice work. (And I love the geek humor in the spot, too.) _________________ Be well,

Thanks, Bob and Dan. And JS, I get where you're coming from, but it sounds like we're talking about two different aspects of the work.

I suspect Dave is intuitively x in the middle of the y. Certainly sounds that way. Well done matey! |

Nice job, Dave...and I, too, LOVED the humor of this spot.
Just amazing that all those Intel people sing so well...I wouldn't have expected that to be a criteria for working at Intel.
