VO-BB - 20 YEARS OLD!

I don't know about you but I have been inundated with all kinds of "friend requests" from people I don't know from Linked In yesterday and today (20+ at last count), and while they look official, they're clearly a phishing scam or something else. When I roll over the links on the email they show up as some other URL than Linked In.

Forewarned is forearmed, eh?

Now these whack jobs are sending me Zip files with "important figures" in them, which I'm sure contain some kind of virus.

I wish we had a better way of tracking these dibchits and shutting them down, but until then....

Yes! They have just shown up for me this week, too. Like Bruce, mine have also had zip files attached.

Although, anyone who opens a zip file from an unknown source pretty much deserves it.

I've just gotten one strange LinkedIn request this week. I deleted it, but I noticed this morning that I have several emails in various folders in Outlook with the subject Join My LinkedIn Network, with no date, that are 0-2 kb in size.

Ugh.

I also got one supposedly from Facebook saying I had not visited in awhile and have 14 pending friend requests. I have the FB Blackberry a Hobo Tounge

and know I had none. When I rolled over the sending email address it was a facebook@gmail account. These people are persistent. Be safe online.
