My agent actually booked me a job where I go into a studio. I could count the number of time that's happened on one hand with only 2 fingers.

Heh. I've been taking classes from Scott Burns (you sent me his way) at a real studio. It's interesting to be in that environment. The biggest thing I've noticed is how nice a Neumann mic really sounds. Laugh

Jeff,

Good for you. It's a fun change of pace. Only happens to me every few months, too.

I love it! You get the enjoy someone else engineering things, and you can just do your job.

It's mighty fine.

Yeah, it feels strange to actually go into a studio these days for me, too. Seems like I've done it more the past month than I have in awhile. But that was the ONLY way I did it for 20 years!! It does feel like a treat, now - except for the drive, having to get presentable, etc. But nice to actually work face to face with real people now and then. Just go in, do it, walk out and ....go to lunch.... Smile

It's always a treat when I get to put shoes on to work. Also Kafer- don't go overboard on cologne - overpowering ick in a booth.

Have fun!

This 'going out' thing seems to be catching! I have a booking for Wednesday morning that requires me to drive to an alien studio to record vo for some tv spots. Lunch in Sausalito! W00T.gif" alt="W00T" border="0" />
(and a mileage deduction too!)

So this turned out to be pretty cool. The three of us VOs were in the room together and we went through straight through the :60 spot a handful of times in radio-play style. My first time doing it that way and I really enjoyed it. We often forget that as actors, we work better when we play off others in the scene.

I'm looking forward to this Wednesday- the next class is exactly that; spots with two or more actors. Should be fun!
