Anyone know how to use the glue stick to keep the pieces of the event together so you don't have to keep sliding them together every time you cut another chunk out of the take. Looking for some help.

I don't use Cubase... but ... in most programs you need to select both "segments" then click on it with the stick.

I use Cubase LE...and not very often...but I just checked and Mike's right. You have to click on the glue icon, then just click on the clips you want to glue together. But remember, as soon as you make another edit, you've effectively separated them again, so you will have to re-glue them. Optionally, just stay in shuffle mode and edit start to finish. then the clips will butt up against each other as you go.

Or maybe I'm not totally understanding what you want to do.

I found the answer. You simply cut out your edit with the scissors. And, then delete the part between the cuts with the eraser. Then you drag the right-hand piece over to meet the left-hand piece. Then, you use the glue function to click on the left-hand portion of the two pieces. That part is important. Don't click on the right-hand portion. Then, those two pieces will be glued together, and if you do other cuts and drag your file around, you won't have to go back and re-connect the original two pieces you put together after your first splice.

Thanks for the feedback.

Steve
