....who spoke to me for less than five minutes and to anyone else who is interested.

If you really want to get lucky, forget all you know about the meaning of the word luck. Don't think about money or romance - or about becoming the recipient of a gift. Think instead, about being in the right place at the right time. Then, understand something: that's where you are. Trust this. Believe it. Accept it - regardless of all that you perceive as wrong or undesirable. No matter what you face, you are where you are for a good reason. Once you see that, you will also see how to get to where you need to be next... easily!

Well, I was lucky -- in the right place at the right time -- and probably got to monopolize Mr. Banks for at least five minutes. I hope I spent more of that time listening than speaking, as Philip is quite an interesting bloke. But you knew that.

Thank you Mr. Banks. As always a font of wisdom.

PS - It was a real thrill to meet you at the VO Mixer.

Well, Mike Harrison can probably read my mind here, but Banksey's thoughts bring to mind a voiceover guy who won a Grammy. 1971, Les Crane--Google him, I'm not making this up.

The track was his reading, to music, of Desiderata--a poem with a long and often mistaken history, whose message isn't entirely dissimilar to this one.

Go here

http://www.amazon.com/gp/recsradio/radio/B00000DB2L/ref=pd_krex_dp_001_002?ie=UTF8&track=002&disc=001

and click Desiderata for a sample. Nice read, really.
