I was a member for a year. Answered quite a few leads. Landed zero jobs. Bear in mind I've made my living fulltime doing v/o for close to ten years now.
Many, if not MOST, of the leads I saw, I also saw thru my agents. I believe vo planet does nothing other than disburse the same leads agents tend to get.
One of the 'big' gigs-landed they posted there forever happened to involve a friend of mine here in Atlanta. I e-mailed him to get his opinion on voplanet and this was his response:
You asked me about VOPlanet before and I think my answer sticks. I got one gig with Sony and that was a good one last year for almost $3k but since then, I’ve auditioned and never got anything…and that’s when I would consistently book w/them before they merged with VOPlanet. The part about Longhorn was on-going and BEFORE VoiceCasting merged w/them…so I don’t think they’re being completely open on that portion. I was voicing the Longhorn training videos long before and it just carried over for one more recording when they merged…then they canceled b/c Longhorn moved to out of Georgia to somewhere in Florida and got another agency to rep them…and even then, it wasn’t a lot of money.
I’m still with them, but haven’t paid the past year and I rarely audition anymore…mostly b/c I’ve not had very much success with them…and my other agents usually send the same type of copy.
So if I was asked to financially renew, I’d say no.
But then again, some people HAVE had success with them…probably more than Voice123…but I don’t know for sure.
Other than this fellow, and September Day Leach landing ONE gig there about 2 years ago, I know of NO ONE who has EVER gotten a job from there.
If anyone has, please let me know and I'll gladly retract. _________________ Scott R. Pollak

And I can pronounce it correctly too!
Let's see, those two points on top of my others equals... two points. _________________ Corey "Vox Man" Snow

I've asked a couple of friends whose names or quotes have appeared in the promotional material for VOPlanet and even they seemed lukewarm. Nobody has ever said, "Ya gotta do it!" On the other hand, to be fair, nobody has ever said that about Voice123, Voices.com, or Bodalgo either and I've gotten a reasonable amount of work from each of those. _________________ Lee Gordon, O.A.V.

Secret Assistant, that is, TO the regional manager.
Oh, and to my friend, Lee, I highly recommend V123 to many people, especially beginning v/o talents in the classes I teach. _________________ Scott R. Pollak

My 2 pence (cents) They are SHITE.
There you go. If you want me to elaborate, sorry but to be honest I really can't be bothered to list the MANY reasons why you should give this site a wide wide berth. _________________ https://www.darrenaltman.com/

I booked a gig through them at the start of the year I was a member. Suffice to say, I'm never going back. I think I just threw up a little in my mouth. Shite. _________________ 006 member of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Mic. Bonded by sound.

Mandy, I'm curious if you are okay with sharing. They constantly bleat about all the huge, high-dollar, national jobs people land thru them. Would you say yours fell into such a category? I ask because I have to believe those examples are the exception, and not the rule there. _________________ Scott R. Pollak
