$6,000 in 1964 would be the equivalent of over $40,000 today...not bad for what was supposed to be a one-time show. Spread out over 56 years it does begin to look a bit slim.

A couple of years ago, there was a huge national casting to find some replacment voices to be officially approved"licensed voices" for Rankin/ Bass characters from Rudolph, that could be used for current projects (mostly commercial) .
I was selected as the voice for Herme, the Elf. What I am also very proud of is that of this national search that yielded over 2,000 auditions to find licensed, sound a like voices for 8 or so of these characters, 3 of the talent, including myself were selected from STARS the Agency in San Francisco.
Oddly, only one talent came from Los Angeles, and the main casting agency is in L.A.
I hope that sends a little message of just what one can find at a minor market agency.
Here, in this AFLAC spot, you'll hear a sample of the work from us new actors.
I only say two words, which proves there are no small parts, only small actors.
